Rihanna Wants to Rehabilitate Chris Brown's Terrible Public Image

A new report claims Rihanna wants to help Chris Brown become a "better person". The "Umbrella" hitmaker is said to be keen to "rehabilitate" the troubled singer's image after he was arrested for allegedly assaulting her last month.

"Rihanna's priority is to rehabilitate Chris' terrible public image and she'll stop at nothing," a source says. "She's convinced that he's now learned his lesson and with her support and commitment will become a changed man."

The source then reveals, "She went with him to see a trusted pastor recommended by his mom Joyce," while adding, "At some point over the next two weeks she'll also be going with Chris to see a therapist who specializes in anger management and couples therapy." Rihanna reportedly also told Chris that she'll play the supportive girlfriend if he agrees to do a TV interview.

"Chris is surrounding himself with people who are reinforcing what a good person he is and telling him what he wants to hear," the source tells Britain's Now magazine. "There's no one in his camp telling him any home truths. Everyone in his circle knows that it's in his best interests career-wise to stay with Rihanna," the source continues. "The pastor told them about the power of forgiveness and Rihanna has really latched on to that. Monica is also God-fearing, but she just can't bring herself to forgive Chris."

akons employee robbed at gun point by suge knights goons lol

We've now spoken with one of the victims of the home invasion robbery early this morning -- a man who works for Detail, Akon's producer -- and he says Suge Knight and money are behind the incident.

Christopher Walker tells us at about 3:00 AM five men broke into his home with guns and said they were there to collect a debt on behalf of Suge Knight. They claimed Detail owed Suge money, and then proceeded to collect on the debt.

Walker says Detail was asleep in one of the bedrooms. The men entered the bedroom but did not get Detail out of bed. Instead, they stole $170,000 worth of jewelry from his room.

Walker adds they demanded a key to the safe and said they would kill all four people in the house if they didn't get it. The robbers didn't get the key -- instead, they took the 130 pound safe.

Walker says they also took stereo equipment and a key to a Mercedes. He claims the total heist was more than $200,000. A police source tells us it's more like $300,000.

Walker says the feud ignited in Arizona during NBA All-Star weekend when Suge got his face smashed in by two men who worked for Akon. Walker says that incident was over the same alleged debt that triggered this morning's home invasion.

Walker says the robbers put a gun to his head and forced him to the ground but he and the others were just scratched up. Walker's brother and a sound engineer were also in the house.

michael vick released from prison

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Suspended NFL star Michael Vick has left a federal lockup in Kansas, apparently bound for Virginia to appear at a bankruptcy hearing next week.

The U.S. Bureau of Prisons Web site showed Wednesday that Vick was no longer at the federal penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kan. It listed his status as "in transit."

It was not clear when he left, or where he was. But two weeks ago, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Frank Santoro demanded that Vick to testify at an April 2 hearing in Newport News about whether his Chapter 11 bankruptcy plan should be confirmed. Another judge issued a court order directing federal marshals to bring the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback to Virginia for the hearing.

Bureau of Prisons spokeswoman Victoria Joseph said bureau policy prohibits disclosure of the prisoner's destination until after he arrives. Vick's attorneys did not immediately return phone messages left by The Associated Press.

Vick is serving 23 months for bankrolling a dogfighting conspiracy. He is eligible to move into home confinement no earlier than May 21 and is scheduled to be released from custody on July 20.

Vick will likely be kept in a southeastern Virginia jail until the hearing, but it wasn't known which one. Newport News Sheriff Gabe Morgan said he had not been notified that Vick would be staying in the city jail, but it was possible Vick and federal marshals would show up unannounced.

The judge overseeing Vick's bankruptcy case rejected the idea of allowing testimony by video hookup, saying he needed Vick in the courtroom so he could assess his demeanor and credibility.

Vick's plan for paying his creditors is based largely on his intention to resume his NFL career. Vick was suspended indefinitely after his 2007 indictment, and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has said he will review Vick's status after he is released.

The Falcons still hold the contract rights to Vick but have said they will try to trade him. Vick's bankruptcy plan would allow him to keep the first $750,000 of his annual pay. After that, a percentage would go to his creditors based on a sliding scale.

piano man bouncing back

"A high placed source exclusively reached out to let us know the progress that Scott Storch is making in rehab:

Scott checked himself into rehab a few weeks ago and he’s doing well. What he’s being treated for is unknown at this point. Some speculate that it may have been a cocaine addiction. He was able to get his home back, which was seized due to non-payment of real estate taxes. It is also true that he downsized from fourteen exotic cars to just one Bentley. He wants his fans and friends to know that he’s okay.

Cocaine really IS a hell of a drug, so get well, Scottie" Bossip.com

This is a really good look for the Piano Man...hopefully he'll go back to making them banging beats! What up Tuff Jew!

tpain gets slapped with lawsuit

T-Pain got slapped with a lawsuit Monday (March 23) in Broward Circuit Court -- for canceling a major concert in Guyana last month because of alleged kidnap and death threats.

The plaintiff, Hits and Jams Entertainment, says T-Pain became a major pain by making grandiose demands -- from a private jet and FBI protection to a phone chat with Guyana's president.

T-Pain, paid $75,000 in advance, failed to appear, according to the complaint filed by Miami attorney Ron Lowy.

Hits and Jams, the Georgetown-based concert producer and promoter, along with three of its officers, also sued T-Pain's Nappy Boy Touring and Chase Entertainment of Fort Lauderdale.

T-Pain was to headline the Republic Day event on Feb. 23. Hits and Jams provided more than a dozen airline tickets for T-Pain and his entourage, including seven in first class.

The contract also called for: a ''four-star hotel or better'' with Cartoon Network and 24-hour room service; a stadium dressing room with a private bathroom; and bottles of Grey Goose, Gran Patrón Platinum and Hennessy, and Gatorade and herbal tea.

But on Feb. 20, Chase Entertainment's David Abram told the promoters he'd been 'advised by a credible source associated with T-Pain's camp that T-Pain should not `come' to Guyana because he would be killed or kidnapped because Hits and Jams had not paid their 'street guys.' ''

Negotiations failed to allay T-Pain's security fears, although the threats were never substantiated. Two days before showtime, Abram ''offered to return the $75,000 advance payment and to assist with the damage control,'' the suit says. But the promoter said that would not offset damages or ``remedy the disappointment to the Guyanese fans.''

Lowy lodged a $5 million breach-of-contract claim against T-Pain and Nappy Boy. He also filed libel and defamation counts against all the defendants, including Abram.

Responds Abram: ''It was a legitimate security threat.'' Chase, T-Pain's management company, did not want to put the artist in ''harm's way,'' Abram adds.

''We feel horrible about not being able to play the concert,'' he said. ``We are going to do what needs to be done to make this right with the promoters They're a good company. We're a good company.''

Black princess cartoon already giving a big buzz

"Remember the teaser for the first movie to have a black princess, “The Princess and the Frog“? Well, people are stark raving mad over the fact that Princess Tiana ends up with a white-looking cat named Prince Naveen:

Disney’s first black princess, Princess Tiana - and the ‘white’ Prince Naveen

Move over Snow White. Make room for Disney’s first black princess.

With America’s first African-American president in the White House, Disney is counting on an African-American princess to be a big hit in Hollywood.

But even though The Princess and the Frog isn’t released until later this year, it is already stirring up controversy.

For while Princess Tiana and many in the cartoon cast are black – the prince is not.

Which has led some critics to complain that Disney has ducked the opportunity for a fairytale ending for a black prince and princess.

While some have hailed Disney’s decision as a reflection of melting pot America, others say the company is sending out a mixed message.

Although the black princess’s love interest in the new animated musical is called Prince Naveen of Maldonia and is voiced by a Brazilian actor, he looks more white than black in photographs from the film that Disney have released.

Even though she ends up with a somewhat white fella, is having the first black princess progress enough?

…or is this just some straight up bullsh*t??

Diddy Settles Louis Vuitton Lawsuit

Diddy Settles Louis Vuitton Lawsuit

Sean 'Diddy' Combs has settled a copyright infringement lawsuit with fashion house Louis Vuitton, ending a dispute over product placement in various Danity Kane videos.

The Bad Boy mogul and Warner Music Group were sued by executives at the luxury label for unauthorized use of Louis Vuitton's intellectual property.

In the legal papers, filed in Paris, France in August 2008, Combs' company was accused of using the Louis Vuitton logo in two of the girl group's music videos, as well as in album packaging photos for their self-titled 2006 release.

The two parties reached a deal on Thursday. Combs has agreed to remove all visual references to the trademarks from future releases of the videos and album in question. That won't be too tough as Danity Kane broke up in February.

The financial terms of the settlement have not been released.

"Watchmen" clocked in with $55.7 million

LOS ANGELES (AP) — "Watchmen" clocked in with $55.7 million in ticket sales to claim the top spot at the box office, making director Zack Snyder's comic book adaptation about a team of twisted superheros the biggest opening of 2009 so far.

Still, it was not quite as big as the $70 million take of Snyder's "300" in 2007.

Dan Fellman, head of distribution for "Watchmen" studio Warner Bros., said it was unfair to compare the two films.

"They're two different movies," Fellman said Sunday. "This is a movie that runs two hours and 45 minutes. That really only leaves the exhibitor with one showing a night. If you have an 8 o'clock show, the next show is at midnight. So with essentially one show a night, I think this is outstanding."

Fans of the subversive comic book series by writer Alan Moore and illustrator Dave Gibbons waited years for Snyder's big-screen version. The anticipation was complicated last year when Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox fought over who owned rights to the $125 million film. The studios eventually settled in January, keeping the March 6 opening intact.

Many "Watchmen" enthusiasts raced to IMAX theaters to see the exploits of Dr. Manhattan and company on the bigger screens. Greg Foster, chairman and president of IMAX Filmed Entertainment, said the movie sold out on all 124 IMAX screens it was playing on during the weekend and was the second largest opening in company history behind another superhero film, 2008's "The Dark Knight."

With no other new releases to compete against, "Watchmen" easily bumped off "Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail," which had held the top spot the two previous weekends. The Lionsgate comedy took in $8.8 million, good for second place, according to studio estimates Sunday. 20th Century Fox's "Taken," starring Liam Neeson, took the No. 3 position with $7.5 million.

For the year, movie attendance continues to soar, with revenue at $1.9 billion, up 16 percent through the same point in 2008. Even factoring in 2009's higher ticket prices, movie attendance is running 14 percent higher than last year.

Disney's "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience" dropped from No. 2 to No. 9 at the box office.

"There have been some casualties this year," said Paul Dergarabedian, president of box office tracker Media By Numbers. "Not every film can be a hit — even during this box-office bonanza we're having right now. It dropped about 78 percent the second weekend. It's a young audience. The ones that wanted to see the Jonas Brothers came out last weekend."

Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Media By Numbers LLC. Final figures will be released Monday.

1. "Watchmen," $55.7 million.

2. "Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail," $8.8 million

3. "Taken," $7.5 million.

4. "Slumdog Millionaire," $6.9 million.

5. "Paul Blart: Mall Cop," $4.1 million.

6. "He's Just Not That Into You," $4 million.

7. "Coraline," $3.3 million.

8. "Confessions of a Shopaholic," $3.1 million.

9. "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience," $2.8 million.

10. "Fired Up," $2.6 million.

According to WoooHa, Young Buck’s clothing line failed to take off after its launch last year due to the rapper’s waning popularity and being kicked out of G-Unit.
