Diddy Settles Louis Vuitton LawsuitSean 'Diddy' Combs has settled a
copyright infringement lawsuit with fashion house
Louis Vuitton, ending a dispute over product placement in various
Danity Kane videos. The Bad Boy mogul and Warner Music Group were sued by executives at
the luxury label for unauthorized use of
Louis Vuitton's intellectual property. In the legal papers, filed in Paris, France in August 2008, Combs' company was accused of using
the Louis Vuitton logo in two of
the girl group's music videos, as well as in album
packaging photos for their self-titled 2006 release. The two parties reached a deal on Thursday.
Combs has agreed to remove all
visual references to the trademarks from future
releases of the videos and
album in question. That won't be too tough as Danity Kane broke up in February.
The financial terms of the settlement have not been released.
